Jack Bruce, the bass player for Cream, died of liver disease Saturday at 71. Bruce played his bass like a second lead guitar and also would sing lead. It is slightly more rare for a bass player to sing, but Bruce isn't the only one.

What songs do you want to hear from singing bassists? We'll put some of your suggestions into our 9:30 Coffee Break.

Songs Played:

Cream - "White Room" (Jack Bruce)

Morphine - "Buena" (Mark Sandman)

The Cars - "Just What I Needed" (Benjamin Orr)

The Beatles - "I Saw Her Standing There" (Paul McCartney)

Sonic Youth - "My Friend Goo" (Kim Gordon)

Primus - "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" (Les Claypool)
