Coffee Break on the Road: Mark Mallman and Audubon Minnesota
November 11, 2014

Our most recent Coffee Break On The Road was a Halloween Edition - with Mark Mallman accompanying us to the office of Audubon Minnesota on Friday October 31st. We had a blast, and Mr. Mallman provided ample helpings of spooky music, in addition to the Mallman standard "True Love" as an encore.

Given Audubon's bird-ish raison d'etre, the office promised a Halloween costume party theme centered on Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds". When we arrived we were given the opportunity to festoon our clothes with our own miniature birdies, and there were a number of employees attired in appropriate costumage - we even met "Hitchcock" himself.
Mallman comes by his Halloween bona-fides very well: he's written a number of scores for independent horror flicks, and his new tune "Monster Movies" was practically the local music tune of the Halloween season on The Current. And of course, he provided exactly the right amount of his trademark over-the-top theater perfect for a Halloween Coffee Break visit.
Our thanks to Audubon Minneosta for letting us stop by, Mark Mallman for performing, and Birchwood Cafe and Peace Coffee for the treats!
