This is a lot to wrap your head around, but it actually happened: Molly Kate Kestner, the Minnesota singer-songwriter who had a massive viral hit with last year's "His Daughter," has covered Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful" on the CBGB set at YouTube Space New York. The set features walls, a cash register, and a phone booth saved when the legendary club CBGB closed in 2006.

Kestner, a native of Austin, is currently a freshman at North Central University in Minneapolis. Though she's talked with labels about a record deal, last fall she told me her first priority is to stay grounded and focus on her education.
