Many local music fans might not have realized that rapper MF Doom had any Minnesota ties—and now he has two. As City Pages notes, MF Doom released the album MM.. Food in 2004 via Minneapolis label Rhymesayers, and now World Street Kitchen—an eatery located just a few blocks from Rhymesayers in Uptown—has a Doom Yum Yum Rice Bowl.
The dish, advertised on the venue's menu with an image of MF Doom's signature mask, is part of World Street Kitchen's #WSKmashup series. People are tweeting about it with the hashtag #DOOMbowl, which could get confusing if a certain local hip-hop collective plays the Memory Lanes Block Party this summer.
