9:30 Coffee Break: Song titles for conversation hearts
by Steve Seel and Jill Riley
February 13, 2015
For today's 9:30 Coffee Break, Jeanne from Cinnaminson, N.J., had a great idea. She writes:
A sweet variation on the Valentine's Day theme is Conversation Hearts. These little pastel-colored candies have short messages that are often similar to song titles. So how about songs that would work well on a conversation heart? Some examples are "Call Me" by Blondie, or "R U Mine" by Arctic Monkeys.
It's such a perfect theme for the day before Valentine's Day — thank you, Jeanne!
So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break (10:30 for listener Jeanne), we're asking you for songs with titles that fit onto conversation hearts. What do you want to hear?
Songs Played
St. Vincent - "Marry Me"
St. Paul and the Broken Bones - "Call Me"
Big Star - "Kizza Me"
Sonny Knight and the Lakers - "Hey Girl"
Elvis Costello and the Attractions - "I Want You"
The Faces - "Stay With Me"
