9:30 Coffee Break: Sugar and Sweets
by Jill Riley and Sean McPherson

Yesterday, the World Health Organization released new guidelines about sugar consumption. These guidelines recommend consuming no more than 10 percent of your calories from sugary substances — about 50 grams of sugar per day — but went a step further by encouraging people to strive for half that amount, if possible.
Cutting sweets and sugar certainly seems like sound advice, but there's one place where we can binge on sugar and sweets as much as we'd like: in song lyrics.
So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs that mention "sugar" or "sweet" would you like to hear? Send us your requests.
