March is Women's History Month, and here at The Current, we're celebrating in a number of ways:

Local Current reporter Andrea Swensson is diving deep into the history of the influential women who helped build the Minnesota music scene with a series on Local Current, and Andrea will also host an all-female edition of The Local Show on Sunday, March 15 at 6 p.m.

Later today, Jade will be airing an all-female '80s and '90s Tonal Recall at noon. Bill DeVille is preparing a very special Time Machine. And for The Current's Morning Show, we decided that for each Friday's Coffee Break in March, we'd do something special to honor women in music.

Today, we'll be looking at the Minnesota women who have been the beneficiaries of all the great musical innovators and influencers who came before them.

So for today's Coffee Break, what Minnesota women in music from the year 2000 to the present would you like to hear? Send us your requests.
