Yesterday Minneapolis' Electric Fetus welcomed the Third Man Rolling Record Store, an offshoot of Jack White's Third Man Records store in Tennessee. The Rolling Record Store, like Nashville's brick and mortar store, features limited vinyl releases and exclusive pressings from the Third Man label.

When the Electric Fetus announced the event on Facebook on March 23, 2015 there was an overwhelming response. More than 800 people RSVP'd to the event, though the three hour shop can only accommodate about 400 customers.

The drizzly Minnesota weather didn't stop Missy Cornell from stopping into the Electric Fetus at 11:15 a.m. to be among the first to get a ticket for her girlfriend Stephanie Hedrick, a member of the Third Man Records collectors group on Facebook. There she learned about the Rolling Record Store's exclusive Minnesota merch. "All week long they've been [selling] state pins that are incorporated with the logo," says Hendrick. "Those have been really sought after."

Nick Oslund from Minneapolis, ticket holder #61, says the White Stripes have always been his favorite band, but he's a fan of other Third Man Records releases, too. "I was hoping to grab that Olivia Jean vinyl that has been blowing up, Bathtub Love Killings," says Oslund. "That album is really freakin' sweet."

Today at 4 p.m. the Third Man Rolling Record Store will makes its second Twin Cities stop at Lee's Liquor Lounge where they will set up shop outside until 8 p.m. Inside, staff will promote Jack White's Third Man Books—established in 2014, 13 years after he founded Third Man Records—in conjunction with the Association of Writers & Writing Programs conference in town. Minneapolis' Frankie Teardrop and Nashville's William Tyler will perform a free show 5-8 p.m., followed by Phantom Tails and Jones (cover charge).
