Jack White kicked out a two-hour, career-spanning set on the first night of the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, Calif. Declaring several times, "Music is sacred!", White opened his set with "Icky Thump". Mumford and Sons have slammed Jay Z's new artist-owned streaming service, Tidal. “We wouldn’t have joined it anyway, even if they had asked," Marcus Mumford told the Daily Beast. Two-year-old DJ AJ has become a viral sensation in South Africa. Although the toddler is still learning to form words and sentences, he is already skilled at selecting and playing music from a laptop. The Subway Music in the Zoo concert series at the Weesner Family Amphitheater at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley, Minn., has been announced.
