Sunday, May 10, is Mother's Day, a day to celebrate and appreciate mothers, mothers-in-law and women who are like mothers in our lives.

Although Mother's Day is celebrated on various days in many places in the world, the celebration of Mother's Day in the United States began in the early 20th century; in 1914, President Woodrow Wilson signed the proclamation creating Mother's Day, the second Sunday in May, as a national holiday to honor mothers.

With all that in mind, let's start the celebration early — and help one another remember to get a card or gift for Mom — by having a playlist of songs for mothers.

So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear that name-check "mom" or "mother"? Send us your requests.

Songs Played

Three Dog Night "Mama Told Me (Not to Come)"
