Prince to play ‘Rally 4 Peace’ in Baltimore on Sunday, livestream via Tidal

Prince, who recently penned a tribute song dedicated to the people of Baltimore and played a "Dance Rally 4 Peace" this past Saturday night at Paisley Park, has announced that he'll play a concert this Sunday with his band 3RDEYEGIRL at Baltimore's Royal Farms Arena. The event is being advertised as "family friendly," and a statement hinted that "several industry superstars" are expected to attend.
Update 5/8: Tidal and Prince have announced that 60 minutes of audio from the concert will be offered as a free live-stream via Tidal.com. "I am honored to join Prince in his mission to inspire through the uniting power of music and be able to offer a platform where this moment can be shared globally. We invite all to experience the music and contribute in their own way to promote peace, tolerance and understanding," said Tidal owner Jay Z in a statement. "Our prayers go out to Freddie Gray's family and every family affected by brutality and senseless violence."
As at Saturday's Paisley Park show, attendees of the Baltimore show, "a catalyst for pause and reflection," are being asked to dress appropriately. "As a symbolic message of our shared humanity and love for one another, attendees are invited to wear something gray in tribute to all those recently lost in the violence."
Release plans for Prince's new Baltimore song still haven't been announced, but a FOX 9 reporter was invited to a rehearsal performance and shared the lyrics. Prince told that reporter he's talking with Jay Z about possibly streaming the song via Tidal. At Saturday's show, Prince played for an hour; in comments at the show, he reportedly alluded to his youth in North Minneapolis and led a chant of "Baltimore, Baltimore, Baltimore, peace forever more."
Tickets for the show go on sale tonight via LiveNation.com at 5:00 ET/4:00 CT; prices have not yet been announced. A portion of ticket proceeds will be donated to Baltimore-based youth charities.
