Prudence Johnson and Dan Chouinard sing Gershwin

Most Americans probably can hum a bar or two of at least one George Gershwin tune. Gershwin wrote popular songs in jazz, opera and for movies in a very short career in the early part of the 20th century. He died at the young age of 38, but he left behind a catalogue of songs that most of us know — or as Prudence Johnson and Dan Chouinard say, "Should know."
Prudence and Dan have collaborated before, but their latest project is a collection of 18 George Gershwin songs on an album titled simply Gershwin. It was released May 10, 2015, and celebrated with a sold-out concert at the Dakota in Minneapolis.
The duo stopped by the Radio Heartland studio to perform songs from Gershwin.
Songs performed:
"The Man I Love"
"Vodka"
"It Ain't Necessarily So"
Hosted and produced by Mike Pengra
Engineered by Michael DeMark
