There are a lot of stories about money in the news today. An analysis by USA Today found the average CEO of Standard & Poor's 500 companies were paid 216 times more than the median employees at their companies, with some CEOs earning as much as 800 times their employees' median pay.
Meanwhile, Forbes magazine ranked the highest-paid actors, with Robert Downey Jr. topping the list, having earned $80 million during the past year. In second place was Jackie Chan, who earned $50 million.
And yesterday, the U.S. government announced a $5 million reward for information leading to the recapture of one of the world's most wanted drug kingpins, Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman of Mexico.
With all this hard currency in the headlines, it reminded us there are a lot of songs that reference money.
