It's been a wild summer for Foo Fighters. After Dave Grohl fell off the stage during a performance in Sweden, Foo Fighters cancelled the remaining dates of their European tour in support of Sonic Highways, their eighth studio album, including a headlining slot at 2015's Glastonbury Festival.

But the show must go on. Just three weeks after the incident, Foo Fighters—including Dave Grohl, his cast and a custom throne that the frontman designed while "high as a kite" on morphine and Oxycontin in the hospital following his leg break—were back on stage in Washington D.C. to celebrate the band's 20th anniversary over the Fourth of July holiday.

Most recently, during Foo Fighters' performance of "My Hero" this past Sunday in Colorado, Dave Grohl noticed an audience member crying, invited them on stage, and proceeded to serenade the "drunk emotional mess."
