Today on Eating and Drinking, Chuck Kanski told us about Gamling and McDuck, a California winemaker established by Gabrielle Shaffer and Adam McClary, two Minnesotans who left the state to pursue their dream of making wine.

It turns out there are many Minnesotans who have flown from the nest to find success and happiness elsewhere, and that includes the field of music. That got us thinking about all kinds of musicians who were born in Minnesota but went on to reach higher pinnacles of music achievement after relocating.

So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear by artists who were born in Minnesota but went on to have musical success elsewhere? Send us your requests.

Songs Played

Eddie Cochran "Summertime Blues"
Red Hot Chili Peppers "Give it Away" (Chad Smith)
Jose James "Every Little Thing"
Marcy Playground "Sex and Candy" (John Wozniak)
Bob Dylan "The Man in Me"
Bully "Trying" (Alicia Bognanno)
