Eating and Drinking with Dara Moskowitz-Grumdahl: Rock 'n' Roll Brunches
September 30, 2015

Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine's Dara Moskowitz-Grumdahl brings her extensive knowledge of the Midwest dining scene to Eating and Drinking.
Dara Moskowitz-Grumdahl stops by The Current's Morning Show to talk about all kinds of brunch. In the Twin Cities, one can find very fancy brunch (Spoon and Stable), very drunk brunch (bottomless bloody Marys at Libertine!) and very wholesome brunch (The Buttered Tin). But what about the rock and roll breakfasts? They're available, too.
So here's Dara's list of the Best Rock and Roll and Assorted Music Brunches in Minneapolis:
Polka Brunch at the Turf Club
On the last Sunday of every month the World's Most Dangerous Polka Band shows up for the World's Most Dangerous Brunch (with sausages from Kramarczuk, naturally.)
A Tang Shot and $5 eggs and toast at the CC Club
Icehouse Revival Brunches - cool old timey bands! For the O Brother Where Art Thou crowd
Eggs & Drag at the Gay 90s
This happens the first Sunday of every month, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; it's family friendly, and there's a great YouTube video of all the children at one Drag Brunch taking the stage for a final version of "Call Me Maybe."
Swing Brunch at the Aster Cafe
Dara Moskowitz-Grumdahl, veteran Twin Cities food and dining authority, is a five-time James Beard Award-Winning food writer who is also at Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine and author of Drink This: Wine Made Simple.
