Jennifer, a listener in Cambridge, Mass., sent us an email earlier this week. She writes, "I discovered The Current while traveling, and now I listen to the Morning Show every day in my office. I'm heading on a trip overseas in a week, and when I'd rather be listening to the Coffee Break, I will probably be stuck in airports and train stations. What songs do The Current listeners like to hear while they're in transit?"

As Jennifer looks ahead to her trip next week, it just so happens a lot of Minnesotans are traveling today. Why? It's MEA Weekend, the school term break that happens every October. With schools closed on Thursday and Friday, many Minnesota families are inspired to hit the road. MEA Weekend has a measurable effect on local travel patterns; Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport officials expect a crowded airport — as many as 20,000 extra fliers a day — and are urging people to get to the airport earlier than usual to catch their flights.

So taking Jennifer's suggestion and the MEA Weekend into account, we're looking at traveling music for today's theme.

For today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what traveling songs do you want to hear? Send us your requests.
