Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine's Dara Moskowitz-Grumdahl brings her extensive knowledge of the Midwest dining scene to Eating and Drinking.

There are all kinds of brunches in the Twin Cities, but Dara Moskowitz-Grumdahl stops by The Current's Morning Show to talk about the Twin Cities' best restaurants for 2015, as published in Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine.

"This is it, the definitive list," Dara declares. "You can say 2015 is over as far as new restaurants go."

Looking over the list, there wasn't a particular category that stood out from the rest. "There's a remarkable diversity of vision," Dara says. "This year, it's all over the map."

Here are the establishments Dara discusses on today's program:

Revival — Southern-influenced food in Minneapolis

Surly Beer Hall and Restaurant — Minneapolis

Il Foro — Italian restaurant in Minneapolis

Birdie — tiny, ticketed eatery in the back of Nighthawks in Minneapolis

Gyst — fermentation bar in Minneapolis

Lela — new restaurant in Hotel Sofitel in Bloomington, Minn.

Dara Moskowitz-Grumdahl, veteran Twin Cities food and dining authority, is a five-time James Beard Award-Winning food writer who is also at Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine and author of Drink This: Wine Made Simple.
