Tonight, the friends and family of Mikey "Eyedea" Larsen will gather at First Avenue to celebrate his life and work on what would have been the 34th birthday of the local MC, who died in 2010.

This afternoon on our Minnesota music stream Local Current, Sean McPherson will be acknowledging Eyedea's musical legacy with a two-hour special featuring Larsen's music as well as tributes from those who knew him. Tune in to Local Current today from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. to hear the special, which we'll archive here after the broadcast.
