9:30 Coffee Break: Secular Jesus
by Anna Reed
December 21, 2015

Over here at The Current, our studios and cubicles are decorated with lights, the kitchen is filled with leftover treats and coworkers are dropping like flies heading off on their holiday breaks.
If you're looking for holiday music, tune into Wonderground Radio which has flipped to all holiday music, or listen to the airwaves live on Thursday after The Morning Show for 24 hours straight of holiday tunes.
But for now, let's put together a set of music with secular Jesus references for today's 9:30 Coffee Break. (Which is to say, non-religious songs that mention Jesus.)
Songs Played
Depeche Mode "Personal Jesus"
The Vaselines "Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam"
The Replacements "Can't Hardly Wait"
Father John Misty "Bored in the USA"
The Toadies "Possum Kingdom"
Ministry "Jesus Built My Hotrod"
Do you deserve a Coffee Break? We at The Current's Morning Show think you do, and we want to bring treats from Black: Coffee and Waffle Bar to your workplace. Let us know why you'd like a Coffee Break - or request your own idea for a future topic.
