MPR News Arts Reporter Marianne Combs joins Jade and Sean McPherson to talk about music in the local art world.

Here's the rundown:

The Great Work — The Guthrie Theater presents a 7th House Theater production world premiere that follows the world's most renowned living pianist on a journey into his past where deep love and unparalleled genius converged to shape two lives forever.

Impossible Salt Presents: The Stranger — Appearing at the American Swedish Institute is an original and interactive holiday story adventure. This 40 minute roaming performance begins in the Turnblad Mansion Ballroom and meanders through all six Nordic Christmas Rooms.

The Starfolk — At the Como Park Zoo & Conservatory, The Starfolk makes melody-rich chamber pop music that rocks in front man Brian Tighe's quintessentially ethereal way. Tighe is joined by Jeremy Messersmith, Allison LaBonne (The Owls, Typsy Panthre) on bass, Jacqueline Ultan (Jelloslave, Saltee) on cello and Greg Schutte (Jelloslave, Chastity Brown) on drums.
