9:30 Coffee Break: Tech talk
by Anna Reed
January 06, 2016

January 6 is National Technology Day – a day to recognize the achievements that have forever changed our world, and look forward to the future of technology.
This week, about 170,000 people have gathered in Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to schmooze and show off new products. From super-fast phone internet to mojito-making Keurigs to a Code-a-Pillar that teaches 3-year-olds the basics of coding, CES is likely all over your newsfeed today.
In honor of CES and National Technology Day, we're looking for songs that mention a form of technology for today's 9:30 Coffee Break.
Songs Played
Thomas Dolby - She Blinded Me With Science
Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
My Morning Jacket - Circuital
Kraftwerk - Pocket Calculator
Janelle Monae - Wondaland
Black Sabbath - Iron Man
Do you deserve a Coffee Break? We at The Current's Morning Show think you do, and we want to bring treats from Peace Coffee to your workplace. In addition, we'll bring along local band Little Fevers to perform a couple of songs for you and your coworkers. Let us know why you'd like a Coffee Break - or request your own idea for a future topic.
