Run the Jewels debut video for 'Meowpurrdy' feat. Lil Bub

Run the Jewels' new video for "Meowpurrdy" features famous feline Lil Bub (Run the Jewels via YouTube)

While working on their third album together, Killer Mike and El-P have shared new video for "Meowpurrdy" off Run the Jewels' album Meow the Jewels featuring famous feline Lil Bub, Snoop Dogg, Delonte and Maceo.

Directed by Cyriak, the bizarre animated video features a kaleidoscopic collage of abominable cats that grow appendages out of their mouths and heads. At its conclusion, a villainous cat that would frighten Cerebus rises from the underworld, swallows an angelic kitten then spits the poor thing out like a hairball, only to explode into the sky.

Run the Jewels' El-P and Killer Mike digitally released Meow the Jewels for free last September as a result of a successful Kickstarter campaign to remix Run the Jewels 2 using primarily cat sounds. While the download is free, the vinyl version will cost you – but not if you enter The Current's Meow the Jewels giveaway! Use the form below for a chance to win a limited edition pressing of the album.
