MPR Cube Critic Stephanie Curtis joins Jade and Sean McPherson to talk about Oscar-nominated "A War", a 2015 Danish film.

"It's a human-scale movie about what would happen to a real person if they found themselves responsible for a death of another," Stephanie said.

The film tells the story of a Danish military company in Afghanistan that is fighting the Taliban while trying to protect the civilians, and how the commander is accused of having committed a war crime. The film was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards.

"I was really looking forward to it because I loved his last movie so much," Stephanie said. "A Highjacking" is about a corporate company boat that is taken over by hijackers, and it is currently available via Netflix streaming.

"It's a great movie. It's not as thrilling as 'A Hijacking', but it's thoughtful and it's a good movie," Stephanie says.
