We were reflecting on Jason Isbell's career in the Morning Show studio today as lucky fans will be able to see him with special guest Shovels & Rope tonight at Northrop Auditorium.

Once a guitar player and songwriter for Drive-By Truckers, Jason joined the likes of Paul Simon and Stevie Nicks by going solo after a few years with a band.

So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear from artists that have gone solo?

Songs played

Morrissey - The Last of the Famous International Playboys
Peter Gabriel - Solsbury Hill
Lauryn Hill - Everything is Everything
Dio - Holy Diver
Jenny Lewis - She's Not Me

Do you deserve a Coffee Break? We at The Current's Morning Show think you do, and we want to bring coffee and treats from Peace Coffee and Glam Doll Donuts to your workplace. In addition, we'll bring along local artist Eric Mayson to perform a couple of songs for you and your coworkers. Let us know why you'd like a Coffee Break - or request your own idea for a future topic.
