Coffee Break: A day at the beach
by Anna Reed

Two studies released this week report that sea levels rose faster in the past century than during the previous 27 centuries. Sea levels stayed steady for about 3,000 years then steadily began to rise due to the Industrial Revolution, and rose 5.5 inches from 1900 to 2000.
In case Minnesota turns into a straight up beach within the next century, we want to be prepared.
For today's 9:30 Coffee Break, let's listen to songs that reference beaches and beachy things.
Songs played
Weezer - Surf Wax America
The Beach Boys - Surfin' U.S.A.
Blondie - The Tide Is High
The B-52s - Rock Lobster
Ramones - Rockaway Beach
Jane's Addiction - Ocean Size
Do you deserve a Coffee Break? We at The Current's Morning Show think you do, and we want to bring coffee and treats from Peace Coffee and Glam Doll Donuts to your workplace. In addition, we'll bring along local artist Eric Mayson to perform a couple of songs for you and your coworkers. Let us know why you'd like a Coffee Break - or request your own idea for a future topic.
