Coffee Break: Beatles songs with orchestral arrangements or classical instruments
by Anna Reed
March 09, 2016

Sir George Martin, the 'Fifth Beatle', passed away yesterday at the age of 90.
Though in a 2011 interview Martin said he originally thought the Beatles' music was "rubbish", he signed the Beatles to a recording contract in 1962 and collaborated with the band throughout their career, playing piano with them and writing their orchestral arrangements.
So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what Beatles songs with orchestral arrangements or classical instruments do you want to hear?
Songs played:
Yesterday
Penny Lane
I am the Walrus
Live and Let Die
Piggies
A Day in the Life
