Sarah, a listener in Chicago, wrote to us recently to say that purple is her favorite color, and that there seem to be a lot of songs with shades of purple in the title. "Both Jeremy Messersmith and Hippo Campus have songs called 'Violet'," Sarah notes, "and of course, there's Hendrix's 'Purple Haze' — there's gotta be more, right?"
