Coffee Break: Artists with Pride
by Anna Reed
June 13, 2016

This weekend an attack on a night club in Orlando left 50 dead and 53 more wounded. The club was Pulse Orlando - a longtime staple in the Florida GLBTQ community.
We'll be digging into this situation in our 9:05 music news break today. Be sure to tune in to hear from Shannon Blowtorch and Andrea Jenkins on how having spaces and clubs for LGBTQ people is important for artistic and political movements.
And for today's Coffee Break, let's hear from artists with pride - whether that's artists who are members of the GLBTQ community or supporters and friends.
And thanks to Deb and Jeffy for the suggestion!
Songs played
Life On Mars? - David Bowie
Closer - Tegan and Sara
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Elton John
Androgynous - The Replacements
Grace Kelly - Mika
Closer to Fine - Indigo Girls
Somebody To Love - Queen
