Coffee Break: 1967

1967 was the Summer of Love.
100,000 people gathered in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco for a massive social experiment celebrating gender equality, communal living and free love.
It was the hippie experience at its core - a melting pot of politics, music, drugs, creativity, and a total lack of sexual and social inhibition. Attendees enjoyed music performances by some of the biggest acts of the time in Golden Gate Park, celebrating the Summer Solstice.
For today's 9:30 Coffee Break, let's recreate the soundtrack to that summer.
Songs played
San Francisco (Be Sure To Wear Flowers in Your Hair) - Scott McKenzie
See Emily Play - Pink Floyd
Time Has Come Today - The Chambers Brothers
Somebody to Love - Jefferson Airplane
Let's Spend the Night Together - The Rolling Stones
Incense and Peppermints - Strawberry Alarm Clock
Respect - Aretha Franklin
A Whiter Shade Of Pale - Procol Harum
