The Current is going to Duluth! Yeah, we already have a real-life radio signal up there (finally), but we're actually going to Duluth. Yep! This July 20, 21, 22 and 23 The Current hosts and staff will hop in our new wheels and set up camp in your great city for four full days of fun – we have a ton of great events lined up!

Concerts on the Pier: Haley Bonar

Ahead of releasing Impossible Dream this August, make your way to Duluth's historic Glensheen Mansion as Haley Bonar performs on a 100-foot pier that extends into Lake Superior. Free to attend!

Thursday, July 21

#MicroShow: P.O.S

The Current and New Belgium Brewing are hosting a #MicroShow (an intimate show with a big-name artist that would normally play a much bigger venue) with ... P.O.S! That's right, 100 lucky fans of The Current in Duluth will get to see one of Minnesota's finest at the Zeitgeist Theater for a one-of-a-kind performance. Stay tuned for your chance to win!

Oake and Riley in the Morning ... in Duluth!

Oake and Riley in the Morning will host a live broadcast from 6 to 10 a.m. at the Lake Ave. Restaurant and Bar! They'll be joined by The Murder of Crows; Charlie Parr; New Belgium Wood Cellar Director Lauren Salazar; The Current's latest hire, Duluth correspondent Mike Novitzki; CEO of Finnegans, Jacquie Berglund; and more! Stop on by for live radio, breakfast foods and drinks.

All Pints Eve Bent Paddle Hootenany

The party continues on Friday at Bent Paddle Brewing for a happy hour hootenanny with DJ Jade. Performers include Clover Street Cronies, Black River Review and Space Carpet. Bent Paddle opens at 2 p.m. and the music portion of the evening takes place between 7-11 p.m.

The Current Showcase at the Red Herring Lounge

Friday concludes with a free show at the Red Herring Lounge featuring Mark Mallman, Silverback Colony (Gabriel Douglas' side project), Fraea and Duluth's Ingeborg von Agassiz.

This Is a Cool Party at Pizza Luce

Want to go to a cool party? Good. Duluth's own reflectivore and Rhymesayers' deM atlaS will be throwing down at Pizza Luce Duluth, presented by Fulton Brewing. Party starts at 9:30 p.m. and it's free to attend!

Saturday, July 23

All Pints North Summer Brew Fest at Bayfront Festival Park, 3-7 p.m.

The Current is going all out at the fifth annual All Pints North on Saturday, June 23 – koozies and tunes on us! Plus the 4onthefloor, Viva Knievel (an all-Bauhaus Brew Labs band), so you're guaranteed a feel-good time. Plus, Jade, Jill Riley and Brian Oake will emcee between bands.

The event gives 3,500 craft beer fans an opportunity to enjoy unlimited and unique samples from many Minnesota craft breweries as well as hand-picked national craft beer brands. All Pints North also offers beer connoisseurs one of the most scenic beer festival backdrops in the country, with the event staged on the banks of Lake Superior. Attendees can also participate in interactive beer education presentations.

Tickets are $45 in advance when purchased online. Tickets are also available at the door for $55. Sober driver tickets are $10.

The Current and Bauhaus Brewing Showcase at the Red Herring Lounge

We'll wrap up the weekend with a showcase at the Red Herring Lounge featuring riot grrrls Bruise Violet, Duluth garage gloom-pop act Social Disaster, progressive soul from Sonic Intension and funk-rockers Kitschy Gloomy. Tickets available online.
