Last week, Bernie Worrell passed away.
Known as a founding member of Parliament-Funkadelic and for his work with Talking Heads, he was a musical prodigy, studying at Juilliard and receiving a degree from the New England Conservatory of Music in 1967.
Today, let's remember Worrell with a 9:30 Coffee Break featuring great piano/keyboard players.
Songs played
Crucify - Tori Amos
Not a Fan - Ben Folds
Green Onions - Booker T. and the M.G.'s
I Feel The Earth Move - Carole King
Flashlight - Parliament
Real Wild Child (Wild One) - Jerry Lee Lewis
Hush - Deep Purple
Do you deserve a Coffee Break? We at Oake & Riley think you do, and we want to bring coffee and treats from Gigi's Cafe to your workplace. In addition, we'll bring along local artist Chris Koza to perform a couple of songs for you and your coworkers. Let us know why you'd like a Coffee Break - or request your own idea for a future topic.
