Double-size Coffee Break for Canada
by Anna Reed
July 01, 2016

We're about to get REALLY patriotic on you with an A to Z weekend including a special choreographed mix of music set to this year's Red, White and Boom! fireworks.
But before we jump into all the fun, let's give a nod to our neighbor to the North - good ol' Canada. It's Canada Day today which celebrates the anniversary of the July 1, 1867, enactment of the Constitution Act, uniting three colonies into a single country called Canada within the British Empire.
We've got a full hour of Canadian musicians planned for you. Let us know what acts you'd like to hear and we'll try to squeeze them in!
Songs played
Vampire Blues - Neil Young and the Promise of The Real
Speed The Collapse - Metric
Elevator Love Letter - Stars
No Time - The Guess Who
In A World Possessed By The Human Mind - The Tragically Hip
Lost in the Plot - The Dears
Fire Eye'd Boy - Broken Social Scene
Roller - April Wine
Losing California - Sloan
Adia - Sarah McLachlan
Working Man - Rush
Do you deserve a Coffee Break? We at Oake & Riley think you do, and we want to bring coffee and treats from Gigi's Cafe to your workplace. In addition, we'll bring along local artist Chris Koza to perform a couple of songs for you and your coworkers. Let us know why you'd like a Coffee Break - or request your own idea for a future topic.
