Gov. Mark Dayton has declared July 5 Adele Day in the State of Minnesota, and Adele will perform her second concert tonight at the Xcel Energy Center, kicking off of her North American tour in support of her record-breaking album 25.
Big fans of Adele (including a few of our own sleuthing staff members) have spotted Adele at the Mall of America, the Hi-Lo Diner, 112 Eatery and on the streets of downtown Minneapolis with her dog. We cannot 100 percent confirm or deny these accounts, but it is sure fun to picture Adele running around the Twin Cities, doing all of the Adele-y things she is wont to do.
In honor of Adele's Minnesota invasion, let's listen to British bands throughout the ages for today's 9:30 Coffee Break.
Songs played
Glad All Over - The Dave Clark Five
Valerie feat. Amy Winehouse - Mark Ronson
De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da - The Police
I Go to Pieces - Peter and Gordon
I Predict A Riot - Kaiser Chiefs
Hungry Like the Wolf - Duran Duran
