Hello friends of The Current,

I wanted to share a quick note to update you on some on-air changes happening at The Current.

Starting Wednesday, Sept. 7, Oake and Riley in the Morning will broadcast air an extra hour each morning, 5 to 10 a.m. CT.

Radio Free Current, hosted by Sean McPherson, will run 7 to 10 p.m. CT on Saturday nights, followed by two hours of regular programming, starting Sept. 10. DJ Shannon Blowtorch's hourlong mix will begin at midnight to keep up the Saturday night energy.

And, last but not least, The Current staff has long been a fan of Chris Thile and is excited to hear what he brings to A Prairie Home Companion as its new host. You can still hear the show live on 91.1 KNOW on Saturdays, but if you miss it, we'll have the re-broadcast on The Current on Sunday nights from 10 p.m. to midnight.
