Coffee Break: Flute rock!
by Anna Reed
September 14, 2016

We've been playing a new song called 'Say Yeah' by Kishi Bashi that's got everyone all a flutter with its flutey goodness.
Though employing the use of flute in a rock song isn't so much in fashion anymore, it was all the rage in the 60s and 70s. And the flute has wiggled its way into at least a few important moments in cinematic history.
So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear that feature a respectable dose of flute?
Songs played
Along Comes Mary - The Association
No New Tale To Tell - Love and Rockets
You've Got To Hide Your Love Away - The Beatles
Say Yeah - Kishi Bashi
California Dreamin' - The Mamas And The Papas
Anchorman - Jazz Flute
Sure Shot - Beastie Boys
Down Under - Men At Work
