Music News: Justin Vernon jams out at Eau Claire venue opening

Justin Vernon joined a jam session on the first night of live music at the Lakely, a restaurant and bar in an Eau Claire boutique hotel co-owned by Vernon. On Saturday night, the Bon Iver leader joined S. Carey, Brian Moen (Peter Wolf Crier), and Kyle Flater (Laarks) in "a funky exploration of an ambient shoegazing rock/jazz fusion," according to Volume One.

Talking Heads react to Talking Heads parody band

Death Cab join Trump protest

Death Cab for Cutie are the first of 30 artists due to release songs in protest of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. Death Cab's song "Million Dollar Loan" is out now; future numbers will be contributed by artists including Lady Gaga, Jim James (My Morning Jacket), and Aimee Mann).
