This week, Bob Dylan won the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature.

It goes without saying that it is very unusual in the pop world for a musician to be recognized with such an honor, but Dylan truly changed the nature of the narrative and had more of an impact than any of his contemporaries.

So let's focus on other amazing lyricists this morning.

For today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what poetic lyricists do you want to hear?

Songs played

Jim Croce - Time In A Bottle
No Bird Sing - And War feat. Molly Dean
Carole King - I Feel The Earth Move
Gil Scott-Heron - The Revolution Will Not Be Televised
Ted Leo and The Pharmacists - The One Who Got Us Out
Dessa - Skeleton Key
