Coffee Break: Musicians with iconic instruments
October 17, 2016

This past weekend Jack White appeared on the new season of A Prairie Home Companion hosted by Chris Thile, and he brought with him a set of vintage aluminum instruments.
Telling the story of acquiring the instruments, Jack said they were originally made for usage on a cruise ship, so that the musicians didn't have to use wooden instruments that would rot. He said when he learned that an aluminum stand up bass existed, he got out his checkbook and asked where to sign. And when he learned there was a matching fiddle, he got out his credit card and did the same.
So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear from musicians with iconic instruments?
Songs played
Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Bon Iver - 22 Over Soon Bob Moose Extended Cab Version
Willie Nelson - All Of Me
Prince - Let's Go Crazy
Paul McCartney and Wings - Live And Let Die
Jimi Hendrix - Foxy Lady
