Chuck Berry, one of the early pioneers of rock & roll, passed away this weekend at 90.

Born in 1926, Berry was always interested in music but spent the early part of his life as a factory worker, janitor and beautician. As he approached 30, he got his big break when Muddy Waters recognized his gifts and introduced him to label owner Leonard Chess. You can read more about Berry and his impressive life at thecurrent.org.

We'll be playing his music throughout the day today, and with 20 studio albums, not to mention soundtracks, compilations, EPs and singles, we've got a lot to choose from.
