Thanks to listener Eric for today's theme idea - songs that come to a full stop in the middle.

Eric says he's looking for "somewhere in the middle of the song when either a hard stop or fade out occurs, and for a split second you think the song is over, before the music comes rushing back in," a situation that is all-too-familiar to radio professionals who frequently lunge at the controls during these sorts of breaks in songs.

Current digital producer Luke Taylor told us that there's a name for a break in a verse where one phrase ends and the following phrase begins - it's called a "caesura" and in sheet music it's marked like this: //.
