Without knowing each other's selections, both Jill and Brian chose songs for today's Song War that feature issues with a father.

Brian chose George Michael's "Father Figure", which says "I will be your father figure / Put your tiny hand in mine / I will be your preacher teacher / Anything you have in mind."

Jill chose The Zombies' "Time of the Season", which says "What's your name? / Who's your daddy? / Is he rich? / Is he rich like me?"

Perhaps inadvertently inspiring their song choices was yesterday's news item that at age 68, Billy Joel is expecting his third child.
