The Current enjoyed a fantastic day of live performances and interviews from the Götubarinn pub in Akureyri, the second city of the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival.

Mark Wheat's guests were 200,000 Naglbítar, Mammút, Hildur and perhaps one of Iceland's biggest artists today, Ásgeir,. Watch the video above to see Ásgeir, perform his song, "Stardust," recorded as it was broadcast live to The Current's listeners. Ásgeir, says his "Stardust" is nothing to do with the Hoagy Carmichael song of the same name.
