The City of Chanhassen has approved a request for Paisley Park to be allowed to sell alcohol at events surrounding the Super Bowl, during the period spanning Jan. 29 through Feb. 5. "A maximum of 1,000 nightly guests will be able to imbibe at various Paisley events between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m. during those dates, according to a press release issued Tuesday by the city of Chanhassen," notes City Pages.

Some fans have expressed disappointment with the venue's decision to sell alcohol, given that Prince, as a Jehovah's Witness, abstained from alcohol during the later part of his life; and alcohol hasn't been part of public events at Paisley in recent years. Paisley Park's current management has not commented on the matter.

Radiohead re: Lana Del Rey: It's not a lawsuit, it's "discussions"

Radiohead haven't actually filed a full-on lawsuit against Lana Del Rey, a spokesperson for their music publisher says. That said, Radiohead's representatives have "been in discussions" with Del Rey's team over similarities between the band's "Creep" and Del Rey's "Get Free."

According to Warner/Chappell Music, Radiohead want to see "all writers of 'Creep'" acknowledged in the credits for "Get Free." That includes the members of Radiohead, as well as songwriters Albert Hammond and Mike Hazelwood, who were given partial songwriting royalties after suing Radiohead over similarities between "Creep" and "The Air That I Breathe," a 1972 hit for the Hollies. Remembering Mikio Fujioka

Guitarist Mikio Fujioka has "passed away in the METAL GALAXIES," according to his band Babymetal. The Japanese metal-pop fusion group have opened for American rockers including Guns N' Roses and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Fujioka was one of four guitarists who provided the band with its epic sound; his death reportedly occurred as the result of a fall from an observation deck. (Billboard)

JT will hit Tonight Show after Super Bowl

After headlining halftime at the Super Bowl at U.S. Bank Stadium on Feb. 4, Justin Timberlake will head over to the Orpheum Theatre to join the live broadcast of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Other guests on the show will include Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and the cast of This Is Us. Among those cast member: pop-star-turned-actor Mandy Moore. (Billboard)

Rare Nirvana demos resurface

Rare Nirvana demo tapes have been posted on YouTube by musician John Purkey, who came up on the Washington state music scene with the band. Many of the recordings have previously emerged on various compilations, but it's interesting to see and hear these tapes personally given to Purkey by Kurt Cobain. The tapes feature two of the drummers who played with Nirvana prior to Dave Grohl: Dale Crover and Chad Channing. (Billboard)

Liam and Noel Gallagher resume beef

Now that the holidays are over, Liam and Noel Gallagher are back to feuding. When Liam obliquely responded to a Noel interview that criticized him for collaborating with multiple songwriters, a fan on Twitter asked, "What about the truce?" Charlie Daniels to Taco Bell: "The Illuminati is not a frivolous subject"

Country veteran Charlie Daniels doesn't think Taco Bell should joke around about the Illuminati. The fast-food chain has been running an ad campaign poking fun at conspiracy theorists by depicting a "Belluminati," and Daniels took to Twitter to share his views on the subject.
