The ramble I'm going to go on today is because it seems the band Greta Van Fleet are hitting a nerve with people. And why? Sure, when I first heard them, I knew they're brothers, they're young, and clearly influenced by Led Zeppelin. But people started to sort of scoff and write them off right away, like, "Oh, this is just such a rip off."

Well, what isn't a rip off?

I don't know if you're old enough to remember when a band out of the U.K. called Oasis came out, everyone was like, "Ugh … Beatles much?" Well, look, it didn't hurt them much, did it? And I also think Oasis had the goods to back it up, so — so what?

And to be fair, Led Zeppelin were influenced by American blues. Of course, the members of Led Zeppelin had a crazy, cosmic chemistry and became something larger than life itself.

But Greta Van Fleet, to me, seem like the real deal. And when I first heard them, I too, thought, "Hmm, this is a little karaoke, and they're probably going to have to work twice as hard to be taken seriously." But with multiple listens, I think they too have the goods to back it up. And if they happen to worship Led Zeppelin, at least they're worshipping at the right altar.
