For this morning's Vinyl Tap we played Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" from his 1971 same-titled concept album told from the point of view of a Vietnam veteran returning to the country he had been fighting for, and seeing only hatred, suffering, and injustice.

And throughout the day you might hear some extra Clash being played and that's because today is International Clash Day - a holiday started by Seattle radio station KEXP in 2013. Like Marvin Gaye, The Clash was absolutely a band with a social message. As Joe Strummer said, "We're anti-fascist, we're anti-violence, we're anti-racist and we're pro-creative. We're against ignorance."

So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear from bands with a social message?
