March 20 is World Storytelling Day - a global celebration of the art of oral storytelling.

Fun fact about this day - each year the organizers pick a common theme that many of the individual storytelling events that take place around the globe are based on. Last year's theme was "Transformation". This year's theme is "Wise Fools". And next year's, if you want to prepare, is "Myths, Legends, and Epics".

So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear that tell a story?

Respond with your song ideas in the comments below.

Or, when you register for a Minnesota Public Radio account, you can send requests via Alexa, too Just say "Alexa, ask The Current to play Song by Artist" e.g. "Alexa, ask The Current to play Left of the Dial by The Replacements."
