Try solving The Current crossword puzzle
April 03, 2018

Whether you have limited crossword experience or a grid addiction, you've probably never played a puzzle like this. We asked Brendan Emmett Quigley, New York Times constructor and author of Sex, Drugs, & Rock 'n' Roll Crosswords, to create a custom puzzle for The Current's audience. We ended up with a 15-by-15 trove of multi-genre, often Minnesota-related trivia. Not every clue could center around music — it's just not possible — but there are tons of clues and brainteasers for the music nerd.
If you've never done a crossword or need a refresh on the rules, there's hope. Back in 2001, the New York Times published a guide to solving industry-standard puzzles. Quick tips: the answer's part of speech has to match that of the clue, and any clue ending in a question mark will require you to get a little clever.
To play the puzzle, you've got two options: print the puzzle or play online (solution here).
