Coffee Break: Labor Day
by Anna Reed
August 31, 2018

It's the Friday before the three-day Labor Day weekend. Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers.
People celebrate the Labor Day weekend in different ways; some stay home and relax, some towns have parades or barbecues, some Minnesotans may choose to go to the State Fair. Here at The Current, we'll present a Block-Rockin' Weekend that starts today at 10 a.m., and continues all the way to midnight on Monday.
What does Labor Day mean to you? We'd like to create a playlist that reflects that.
So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear for Labor Day? Send us your request, and tell us why your song says "Labor Day" to you.
