Leon Bridges joins Brandi Carlile as the only acts to hit Number One with two different songs this year. His two shows at The Palace Sept 20 & 21st are not officially sold out yet, and don't be fashionably late, Khruangbin are opening for him on both nights. Here's a recent review of his set in Vegas.

Both Chance at #2 and Childish at #3 were among those paying tribute to Mac Miller who passed away last week.

Hippo Campus are the biggest upward movers, buoyed no doubt by their set up in Duluth at the weekend for the Super Big Block Party, which provided some wonderful pictures of all the acts that took part including #15 Lissie.

Death Cab For Cutie are inducted to the Chart Hall of Fame for the fourth time putting them at #34 on the All-Time Hall of Fame Chart just behind Radiohead. And the new album is our Album of the Week.

Big Red Machine are inducted for the very first time, even though Justin Vernon of the project, is at #8 on the All-Time Chart having been inducted 8 times with Bon Iver. His partner Aaron Dessner's band The National have been inducted 7 times and sit at #14 all time. They were involved in a cool project in Berlin recently, that Har Mar Superstar told us about at the State Fair.

Cat Power will be playing some dates this Fall with The National, in support of her first new album in 6 years! It's out October 6th and features Lana Del Rey on this track, new at Number 19 this week. She'll start her tour in Chicago this weekend at the massive Riot Fest!

Dawes creep into the basement space after playing The Palace last week and doing one of my fave sessions ever!! Taylor was in good spirits discussing his forthcoming marriage to TV star Mandy Moore and their tour with E.L.O. They played acoustic, with Lee on our grand piano, beautiful versions of three tracks from the new 'Passwords' album.

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to The Current's CHVRCHES giveaway at the Palace Theatre in St. Paul, MN on October 3, 2018!
